“Mark my answer on methods of expansion.”
Break-even is the point where total revenue equals total costs, so the business makes neither profit nor loss. Say a food truck has €2,000 of fixed costs a month, sells a box at €8 and each box costs €3 to make. Every box contributes €5, so 400 boxes covers the €2,000. Below 400 it loses money, above it starts to profit.
