The whole course, laid out as it is taught. Units, then topics, each marked not started, in progress or done. Notes are short and written at the reading level you set. Every topic ends two ways: quiz me on this, or explain it differently.

Wendy Smyth, founder of BizTeach

Hi, I'm Wendy

Business and SEN teacher, Donegal.
Founder of BizTeach.

I started BizTeach because I watched students work hard and still feel lost. Too many resources, not enough clarity. I wanted one place that pulls it together and explains things the way a good teacher would.

Business is the subject I know. So that is where we start.

We are still building. Come and build it with us.

What is BizTeach?

BizTeach is an Irish study app for Leaving Certificate Business. It combines curriculum-aligned notes, exam practice marked against the published SEC marking schemes, step-by-step Business Alive project support, and Biz, an AI study coach. It was founded by Wendy Smyth, a Business and SEN teacher in Donegal.

Who is BizTeach for?

BizTeach is built for Senior Cycle students taking Leaving Cert Business at Higher or Ordinary Level, and for the teachers and parents supporting them. Students under 16 sign up with a parent or guardian, in line with Ireland's digital age of consent.

When does BizTeach launch?

The BizTeach platform opens in September 2026, at the start of the school year. Early access is open now: joining puts you on the launch list and sends you the free Business resource pack straight away.

How much does BizTeach cost?

Early access is free and includes the free Business resource pack of notes, an exam-answer guide and a Business Alive planner. Prices for plans on the full platform will be published at launch, and early access members hear first.

Is Biz a real teacher or an AI?

Biz is an AI-powered study coach, not a person. It explains Business topics, asks questions to check understanding, guides you through Business Alive and gives feedback on your own answers. It does not write assessed work or award grades, and its feedback is study guidance, not an SEC result.

Does BizTeach help with the Business Alive Investigative Study?

Yes. Business Alive is worth 40% of the Leaving Cert Business grade, and BizTeach walks through its six stages with a checklist and expert tip at each one. Your research decisions, analysis and conclusions stay your own work, as the State Examinations Commission requires.
